02//Care Protocol

Keep It Mission-Ready

Drive it on the right surfaces, keep the battery healthy, clean the treads, and store it dry. That’s the whole protocol.

Not Water-Resistant

Do not drive the RCD-01 on wet floors or outdoors in rain, and keep it away from spills, puddles, bathrooms, and high humidity. Moisture damage is not covered by warranty.

Surfaces

  • Best on hard floors: wood, tile, laminate, and smooth concrete.
  • Short carpet works well thanks to the treaded wheels.
  • Avoid deep-pile carpet, gravel, sand, and wet or uneven ground.
  • Keep it away from stairs, ledges, and drops. Impact damage is not covered by warranty.
  • Clear small objects and cables from the drive area before a run.

Battery Care

  • The rechargeable battery performs best with regular charging.
  • Recharge before long storage and avoid leaving it fully drained.
  • Use a quality USB power source and the included charging cable when possible.
  • Unplug after charging and keep the drone away from heat while charging.
  • For long storage, top up the charge periodically to protect battery health.

Cleaning

  • Wipe the shell with a soft, dry microfiber cloth for dust and fingerprints.
  • Pick hair and debris out of the wheel treads and axles after carpet runs.
  • Use a slightly damp cloth only when needed, then dry immediately.
  • Never spray cleaner directly onto the drone; avoid solvents, bleach, and abrasive pads.
  • Never insert metal tools into the charging port, seams, or wheel assemblies.

Storage & Finish

  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heaters.
  • Do not leave the drone in a hot vehicle or near radiators.
  • The original box is the safest place for long-term storage.
  • Minor cosmetic variation between units and batches is normal.
  • Light tread and finish wear from normal driving does not affect function.
