First Deployment
Charge the battery, link the 2.4GHz controller, and take the RCD-01 out for its first drive. Four steps, no tools required.
Unbox
- 1Remove the RCD-01 drone unit, remote controller, USB charging cable, printed quick-start and care notes, and warranty information from the box.
- 2Keep the box and inserts. They're the safest way to store or return the unit.
- 3Check the wheel treads and axles for any packing material before the first drive.
Charge First
- 1Charge the drone fully before first use with the included USB cable and a suitable USB power adapter.
- 2Expect about 30-40 minutes of drive time per charge. Exact figures are confirmed per production batch and printed in the quick-start notes.
- 3Unplug once charging is complete and keep the drone away from heat while it charges.
Power On & Link
- 1Power on the drone. The LED lights come on whenever it has power.
- 2Power on the remote controller (battery details are in the printed quick-start notes).
- 3Keep the two close together; the 2.4GHz wireless link connects automatically within a few seconds.
First Drive
- 1Clear a space on a hard floor or short carpet. The twin treaded wheels handle both.
- 2Start slow: forward and reverse first, then try spinning on the spot.
- 3Stay within about 20-30 m line of sight, and keep the drone away from stairs, ledges, water, and deep carpet.
Troubleshooting
Drone will not power on
Charge the battery fully, check the USB cable and power source, then try the power switch again.
Controller does not respond
Make sure both the drone and controller are powered on, then switch both off and on again to re-establish the 2.4GHz link. Check the controller's batteries per the quick-start notes and move closer to the drone.
Drives sluggish or stops mid-run
Recharge the battery, then clear any hair, dust, or debris from the wheel treads and axles.
Struggles on the surface
Move to a hard floor or short carpet. Deep-pile carpet, gravel, sand, and uneven or wet ground are not supported.
LED lights stay dark
The LEDs run whenever the drone is powered. If it drives but the lights stay off, contact support. LED faults are covered by the warranty.
Caution // Keep It Dry
The RCD-01 is not water-resistant. Keep it off wet floors and away from puddles, rain, and spills, and store it in a cool, dry place. See the care guide for the full protocol.
